Diana Hartel will be creating a series of events in conjunction with readings from her book, Watershed Redemption. Local hosts will convene groups to explore issues in the book relevant to their own watersheds. Participants will be asked for updates to the book for web posting. In addition we are collecting Earth Vows, promises made by individuals as an expression of their dedication to preserve and restore local ecosystems, especially in relation to wildlife. Of land animals, only 4% remain wild. Changing this imbalance requires are strong voices.
The first reading from Watershed Redemption took place at SOMOS bookshop in Taos, NM on September 14th. The next scheduled event is at the University of Michigan bookstore in Flint, MI on October 7th, then in Carrolton, GA on Nov. 14th.
